Our Next Generation

As a State, we have struggled to engage and retain our youth. Working together we can create an environment where students thrive, invest in their community, and have opportunities to live and work here as adults.

I was fortunate to work at both Roosevelt High School and Natrona County High School for about 5 years. I created and facilitated a leadership development course, which focused on building communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

As a Rotarian, acts of service and the Four Way Test are core values for me. I worked to establish and served as Advisor for our Casper Interact Club. We focus on serving and creating a positive impact within our community, locally and globally.

Understanding and actively participating in local government creates a sense of ownership and belonging for our youth. In 2020, in partnership with our Casper City Council, I established the Casper Youth Council - a youth advisory committee working with and for our City Council.

Our Natural Resources

The conservation and stewardship of our natural resources is important to me. As an avid hiker, camper, and backpacker, I imagine there isn’t a trail in the Big Horns, Winds, and Snowys I haven’t been on. Working together we can ensure future generations have ample opportunities to foster joy, wonder, and connection with the beauty that is our state.

In 2021, I was honored with an appointment to the Governor’s Wyoming Wildlife Task Force.

Over an 18-month commitment, I worked with State Representatives, Senators, County Commissioners, Land Owners, Outfitters, Hunters and Anglers, and our Wyoming Game & Fish Department.

We were charged with studying top-priority wildlife policy issues and providing recommendations to our State Legislature and WGAF Commission.

I learned the importance of understanding issues from a variety of perspectives, leaning on experts to help me understand, and the critical importance of engaging constituents and those impacted by the decisions made.

Leadership

Entrepreneurial spirit, Wyoming grit, and forward-thinking independence are alive and well in Wyoming. Working together we can solve the issues at hand, strengthen our economic diversity and financial stability, and carry our traditions forward.

An entrepreneur at heart, I have successfully started and operated 3 businesses and 4 non-profit organizations.

I serve as Chair for our Casper Committee on Foreign Relations; Board of Trustees for Casper’s Youth Crisis Center; and District 7 Delegate for the University of Wyoming’s Alumni Association Committee.

I served as State Director for Wyoming’s USAD Academic Decathlon program; Vice-Chair, Board of Directors for the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce; and Chair, Board of Advisors for University of Wyoming at Casper College.
