I have known Elissa Campbell nearly as long as I’ve been a Casper resident and have worked with her in several capacities. In early 2018 she provided valuable guidance and feedback in her position with Elevate Wyoming. I also had the pleasure of participating in the Wyoming High School “Be Entrepreneurial” Pitch Night, led by Elissa. Her excitement and belief in these kids continue to amaze.

Elissa has devoted much of her time to educating youth, having served on boards and taken lead roles in encouraging youth entrepreneurship. She has an authentic interest in youth because she cares. These days it is challenging to find strong virtues in elected officials, especially on the national stage.

National politics is an ugly business, but we recognize that any positive change in the political environment begins close to home.

Think of the traits you would want in any politician. For me, the first is being genuine. Elissa’s words and actions earn the respect of peers. She is honest and approachable, but not judgmental. She also knows that people are at their best when they listen and understand, have a good view of possible outcomes and do things for the right reasons. For Elissa, it’s obvious she serves others over herself. None of those things come out of the need to feed an ego.

Perhaps the biggest reason I strongly believe Elissa Campbell would make an exceptional representative for House District 56 is her strong character. She understands the damage caused by the divisiveness of politics. She will sponsor and support legislation that is best for the people in her district and in Wyoming, and will do this by listening to differing viewpoints.

We desperately need people who can advance good governance, who are honest and not self-serving, all while remaining optimistic. Mostly, we need leaders who can compromise, are respectful of others, and serve people over party. Elissa is that person.

Thank you for your support!

We wholeheartedly stand in support of Elissa Campbell’s candidacy for House District 56. Ms. Campbell served for two years with us on the Wyoming Wildlife Taskforce in 2021 and 2022. This taskforce brought together a diverse group of Wyomingites to tackle some Wyoming’s most divisive issues in wildlife management.

Ms. Campbell did her homework, learned the issues, and always sought ways to find solutions that respected diverse opinions. Ms. Campbell is an outdoorsman who values wildlife, but also understands the importance of business and industry. As a lifelong Wyomingite, she has a great love of our landscape, wildlife, industry, but most importantly the people of Wyoming.

In the Legislature, it is incredibly important to understand how to solve real problems. Building and maintaining relationships is key to having meaningful conversations, which allow legislators to find solutions to important issues. Elissa is skilled at listening to understand, connecting with people, and building relationships.

We believe that Ms. Campbell has the intellect, skills, and strong moral character to become a very good legislator. We encourage the Republicans of House District 56 to vote for Elissa Campbell at the August 20 primary.

I was blessed to serve in the Wyoming House for almost 10 years. Over that time, I saw dozens of new representatives come and go. Those who were the most effective were those who were invested and involved in their communities long before they ever held elected office. Those are the people who knew and understood the issues important to their neighbors and their constituents. Elissa has devoted her time and talents to Natrona County for decades. She has that understanding and she will be and effective, conservative advocate for Natrona County.

Whether it has been through her own business, through her deep roots in helping non-profits or through watching our kids grow-up together, I’ve seen Elissa exhibit the kind of hard-working thoughtful approach that I want to see more of in Cheyenne. I’ve watched for years as Elissa has advocated for businesses in our community by training those in business to do things better. Elissa supported education by pushing practical training programs in Natrona County Schools. She has the experience of knowing our community and the skills needed to represent us. Please for Elissa Campbell for House District 56. You won’t be sorry that you did.
